Last summer some of the Essex and Thames SCITT team travelled to Wasso to begin training teachers in our three new partner schools, Lumo, Wasso and Loliondo. The following Easter, a small group of our trainees carried out research and school improvement work in Lumo School.
This was an amazing chance for our new teachers to broaden their educational horizons and for our schools to become involved with an extremely worthwhile partnership.
Subject to the political situation in Africa, we hope to continue developing a range of opportunities for teachers and leaders in our partner schools to also take up these experiences.
