Entry Requirements

All candidates should have the following:

  • An honours degree (minimum 2.2) from a university in Great Britain or overseas, or a qualification recognised as equivalent to a degree.
  • A GCSE at level C (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Science and English.
  • The skills to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to primary education and to have spent a minimum of two weeks in a primary school to familiarise themselves with working with children and the demands of the classroom.
  • Candidates for the salaried route via School Direct must have a minimum of three years’ work experience.
