The Consortium comprises 54 schools in Essex and includes many outstanding Ofsted schools and many special schools.

All of our schools are selected on the basis of their excellent reputations and experience in working with trainees. In the school-based element of the course, experienced members of staff act as mentors. At the start of the course trainees will also be allocated a personal tutor who will visit them each term to provide professional and pastoral support and guidance and to liaise with the schools about trainees' progress.
